What Capabilities does the Jeep Grand Cherokee Have?
As we mentioned earlier, there are five available trim levels for the 2022 Grand Cherokee lineup. The standard engine option for the lineup is a potent 3.6-liter V6 that produces 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The other engine option bumps things up a notch. This is the 5.7-liter V8 rated at 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and 4-wheel drive is available across the board using one of Jeep's three legendary 4X4 systems. When properly equipped, the Grand Cherokee can tow up to 7,200 pounds, and it also has a maximum ground clearance of up to 11.3 inches with the help of the Quadra-Lift Air Suspension System. The Trailhawk trim takes capability to the next level with its Trail Rated features, including a class-exclusive disconnecting sway bar for greater front-wheel articulation. There's also an electronic limited-slip rear differential, and hill descent and ascent control to help you explore uneven terrain with ease. The Overland also shares in many of these more rugged features, and even boasts a 24-inch water fording capability!
What are the New Design Features of the Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Now for the 2022 model year, drivers can select whether they'd prefer a two-row or three-row layout for their Grand Cherokee's interior. The classic layout seats up to five, while the three-row configuration can seat seven! No matter which version you choose, the Grand Cherokee has a strong and stylish presence on the road, with aluminum wheels measuring up to 20 inches, standard LED headlights in elegant horizontal fixtures, and of course the iconic Jeep seven-slot grille. On upper trim levels, you can also opt for a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, or a two-tone Gloss Black roof for a bit of extra style. On the inside, all trim levels starting with the Limited feature leather-trimmed seats, with either Capri leather or premium Nappa leather. There are also heated and ventilated seats available for the first two rows, and the top-tier Summit trim even offers massaging front seats! Other features for the Jeep Grand Cherokee include dual-zone automatic climate control, and a hands-free power liftgate.
What Tech Features does the Grand Cherokee Have to Offer?
One of the ways in which the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee creates an elevated driving experience for everyone on board is with its wealth of new tech features! The whole lineup features the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, up to five customizable user profiles, and Amazon Alexa voice recognition. If you want to bump things to the next level, you can also add the class-exclusive front passenger display, which provides the passenger with their very own 10.1-inch touchscreen that they can use completely independently of the driver, controlling their own apps, music, and more.
